Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday once again illustrated his importance from behind the stumps as he helped left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav in dismissing Kiwi tailender Trent Boult during the opening ODI against New Zealand. The first ODI match of the five-match series is being played in Napier.
In the 37th over of the New Zealand innings, the Blackcaps were reeling at 157 runs for the loss of nine wickets and Trent Boult was at the crease with Tim Southee. Dhoni advised Kuldeep to bowl the wrong one from behind the stumps and that was what helped Kuldeep pick his fourth wicket of the day as New Zealand were bowled out for 157 runs.
