Hyderabad: Lieutenant General Yenduru Venkata Krishna Mohan, who took charge as Commandant of the elite Defence Services College, Wellington, in Tamil Nadu, is a Hyderabad native. He was earlier General Officer Commanding of a corps on the western borders. Lt. Gen. Mohan is the son of Dr Y. Rama-subbaiah, a resident of Yapral, Secunderabad.
The General will be conferred with the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal on Republic Day for his ser-vices as the Corps commander in 2018. He has been conferred with the Sena Medal for his stint on Siachen glacier and the Vishisht Seva Medal for his tenure on the Indo-China border at Sikkim.
