Reliance Jio launches long-validity plans at Rs 594, Rs 297 but there's a catch

Long term validity plan is the new buzz in the telecom industry and Jio does not want to stay out of it. After Airtel and BSNL now Jio has announced two new long-term validity plans for its users but with a twist. Jio has launched two new long validity plans at Rs 594 and Rs 297 but not all Jio users can avail it.
Jio's new long validity plans are available only for the JioPhone users. After a long time the company has updated its recharge plan list for the JioPhone users. JioPhone users could avail only monthly plans until now. Starting today, they can opt for these long-term validity plans too. Note, that only plan can be activated at once.
Now the benefits. The JioPhone Rs 594 plan offers free voice calling, 300SMS per 28 days, free access to Jio apps and unlimited data with 0.5GB data high speed data per day. The speed will reduce to 64Kbps once the FUP limit is reached. The plan comes with a validity of 168 days from the date of recharge.
The second JioPhone long term validity plan costs Rs 297 and offers free voice calling, 300SMS per 28 days, unlimited data with 0.5GB data high speed data per day for 84 days. The cycle for both the plans will be 28 days for a month. This means that Rs 597 plan will come with six months validity whereas Rs 297 plan comes with three months cycle.
JioPhone monthly plans:
JioPhone monthly plan starts at Rs 49. It offers free voice calling, 50 SMS, unlimited access to Jio apps, and a total of 1GB data for the entire validity period of 28 days.
Second is the JioPhone Rs 99 plan that offers 14GB data, unlimited voice calling, 300SMS, and free access to Jio apps for the entire validity period of 28 days from the date of recharge.
Last but not the least is the JioPhone Rs 153 plan that offers unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day, free access to Jio apps and 1.5GB high speed data per day for 28 days. Total data benefit is 42GB.
Note all these JioPhone plans will work only if SIM is in the JioPhone.
