Google Removes 85 Dangerous Apps From Play Store, Over 8 Million Users Affected
New Delhi, Tech Desk. Google has removed 85 dangerous apps from the Play Store for its Android users. Trend Micro's security researchers feared that these 85 apps on the Play Store could be hiding dangerous viruses. As soon as Google received information about these apps, they were removed from the Play Store. Trend Micro wrote in his blog post that he detected Google a potential virus named AndroidOS_Hidenad.HRXH. This virus used to display ads automatically in apps, which was difficult for users to turn off.

Security researchers said that most of these apps on the Play Store were affected by the virus. Most of these apps were photography and gaming applications, which have been downloaded more than 8 million times. Among these apps, apps like Super Selfie, Cos Camera, Pop Camera and One Stroke Line Puzzle were quite popular. All these apps have been described by researchers as adware infected apps.
