Home Ministry said- Video conferencing app Zoom not secure, gave these guidelines
During the corona virus lockdown, in many countries of the world, including India, the Home Ministry has said that it is not safe for the video conferencing app Zoom.
The Home Ministry has also issued an advisory regarding this, which says that people should use it carefully.
Also, the Ministry has also said that this platform should not be used by government officials for official work.
This advisory has come in the wake of a warning issued by the government by the National Cyber Security Agency- Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CERT-in).
A few days ago the agency warned people about the vulnerabilities of this app.
A fresh advisory has been issued by the Cyber Co-ordination Center (CyCord) of the Ministry of Home Affairs. It says that if people are using it, then be cautious.

CyCord's Guidelines -
- - Set new user ID and password for every meeting.
- - Turn on the 'Waiting Room' feature. This will allow people to come to the meeting only when the host gives permission.
- Turn off 'Join Before Host' feature. By doing this, no user will be able to come to the meeting before the host.
- - Keep screen sharing by host only feature on.
- - Turn off the Alo Removed Participants to Re-Join feature.
- If not needed, turn off the file transfer option.
- - Once everyone comes to the meeting, then lock the meeting.
- - Keep recording feature off.
- - If you are an administrator, do not just leave the meeting, close it.
