Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain had hinted on Wednesday that the company is planning to launch Redmi 9 in India soon. At the same time, now the company has officially unveiled the Redmi 9 launch date in India. Redmi India has tweeted through its official Twitter handle that Redmi 9 will be launched on August 27. It is likely that there will be a rebranded version of the upcoming Redmi 9C which was launched in Malaysia in June.

Design

The company has created a product page on the Redmi 9 website. According to the information given on this product page, there will be a waterdrop notch display on the front of the phone. Due to this notch, the bezels on the phone will be very less. At the same time, the device will have a dual camera in a square shape on the rear. Along with this, the phone will have MIUI 12, which the company recently introduced in India officially. Apart from this, information has not been revealed about any features of the phone.

The Indian version of the Redmi 9A (M2006C3LI) recently received Wi-Fi Alliance certification, indicating that it might be launched as the Redmi 9A. Both Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C are entry-level phones, priced around Rs 7,000.

Specifications of Redmi 9C

Talking about the already launched Redmi 9C in the market, this phone supports 1600 × 720 pixels resolution 6.53 inch HD + LCD display. On behalf of the company, this phone has been introduced on Android 10 which works on MIUI 11. In addition, the phone has been given MediaTek Helio G35 chipset with an octa-core processor with 2.3 GHz clock speed for processing. At the same time, this phone supports IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphics.

Talking about photography segment, Redmi 9Cipl supports the rear camera. A 13-megapixel primary sensor has been provided on the back panel of the phone, with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Similarly, 5 megapixel M Camra has been given in this phone for a selfie.
