Action in the Footover Bridge accident in Mumbai, demanding blacklist of auditors

Chief Engineer of Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has submitted a preliminary report to the BMC Commissioner about the Mumbai Footover Bridge accident. In this report, blacklisting the bridge's authoritative audit officer, along with the then Chief Engineer S and Corey, have demanded investigation against several officers.

It has been clarified in the preliminary report submitted that the audit report failed to indicate the drawbacks of the bridge. This suggests that the structural audit was done irresponsibly and carelessly. The audit report should be made public.

FIR lodged on structural auditor
Also, the recommendation to remove the structural auditor DAECA immediately from the panel is recommended in this report. It has also been recommended to register an FIR against the DAECA by blacklisting the auditor and withdrawing all the works going on in it. Apart from this, it has been said that all the payments received will be banned.

The Chief Engineer S and Corey will be investigated against, as well as a divisional inquiry has been ordered against many officers. Apart from this, a show-cause notice has been issued to the repairing company.

Blacklist RPS Infrastructure
According to the initial report, RPS Infrastructure has been blacklisted. RB Tare, AB Patil, SF Kakulete will be investigated. According to the report, the BMC will blacklist the bridge to the company repaired in 2013.
