At the same time, now the Counter Point report has revealed that South Korean electronic company Samsung surpassed Chinese company Xiaomi in the September quarter to reach the top in the Indian market after two years.

Market experts believe that China's tensions with India and the ban on Chinese companies in the US are behind Samsung's rise to the top. Also, at the cost of new products, Samsung has been able to beat Chinese companies.

Counterpoint's Market Monitor service has released a new report on the Indian smartphone market for the third quarter of this year, revealing an increase of 9 percent and total smartphone shipments surpassing 53 million units.

Samsung led the Indian smartphone market with a 24 percent share, followed by Xiaomi with 23 percent. After this, Vivo has 16 percent market share, Realme 15 percent, Oppo 10 percent and other brands have 12 percent market share. According to the report, Samsung has topped this year for the first time since Q3 2018.
